5th Poster Painting Contest 2025 & Prize Distribution Ceremony

Road Safety Line successfully organised its 5th Poster Painting Contest* on Road Safety, with student participation held on 19 November 2025 across various schools in Jaipur district. The Prize Distribution Ceremony was conducted on 19 December 2025 at the auditorium of Science Park, Jaipur.

The programme was graced by Shri. Devendra Mohan Mathur, Chairman, Consumer Forum, as the Chief Guest. Dr. L. N. Pandey, Nodal Officer, Road Safety Cell, presided over the function, while Padma Shri, Tilak Gitai was present as the Guest of Honour. The stage proceedings were conducted by Ms. Nitasha Bhatia, Architect.

The event commenced with lamp lighting, Saraswati Vandana, and a cultural dance performance by students.

Shri. Pratap Kumar Bhatia, Secretary, Road Safety Line, shared insights into the organisation’s ongoing road safety initiatives and informed that around 3,000 students from 60 schools across Jaipur district participated in the contest. Students were categorised into Classes 3–5, 6–8, and 9–12, and 20 prizes ranging from ₹3,000 to ₹31,000 in the form of electronic gadgets were awarded.

The judging panel, chaired by Padma Shri Tilak Gitai, along with members Shri. Brij Raj and Ms. Jaishree, appreciated the creativity and social awareness reflected in the artworks, stating that the paintings clearly conveyed children’s understanding of road safety.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. L. N. Pandey emphasised the responsibility of citizens to promote road safety awareness and urged people to assist accident victims rather than merely recording videos.

Shri. Devendra Mohan Mathur
highlighted the importance of adopting road safety rules as a way of life and suggested strengthening accident insurance mechanisms linked to highway toll systems.

For their special contribution, Ms. Annu Gupta, Ms. Vandana Sharma, and Ms. Kusum were also felicitated. Concluding the event, Shri. Satish Chandra Derashri (Retd. IAS), President of Road Safety Line, reiterated the organisation’s commitment to continuous road safety initiatives and announced an ambitious target of engaging 5,000 students in the next edition of the contest.
