On 11th August 2025, Road Safety Line in association with the Road Safety Cell, Transport Commissioner’s Office, Jaipur, organised the 80th Eye Check-up and Free Spectacle Distribution Camp at Rajesh Motors, Kotputli.
With the support of the Regional Transport Office and the local team, truck drivers were brought to the camp for eye screening. Our technical experts conducted computerised eye tests, and spectacles were distributed free of cost to those with weak eyesight.
Total Drivers Screened: 78
Free Spectacles Distributed: 37
Unfortunately, due to a prolonged power cut and non-availability of a generator, the camp had to be stopped midway.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Pratap Bhatia (Secretary) shared that more than 8,500 free spectacles have already been distributed across 80 camps, and to the best of our knowledge, no other organisation in the country is running such a unique and continuous initiative. He further added that these camps will continue every month, without fail.
It is important to note that Road Safety Line does not take any financial assistance from government bodies. These initiatives are supported purely through contributions from individuals and society.
